Carla Elizabeth is a Suffolk-based artist whose work is inspired by the coast, countryside and wildlife of East Anglia. Working across acrylics, oils, pastels and mixed media, she creates expressive paintings that celebrate the beauty, character and quiet joy found in the natural world.
After a career in graphic design, Carla returned to painting in 2022 and has since developed a distinctive body of work ranging from atmospheric seascapes to contemporary bird studies. She also runs popular art workshops, encouraging others to embrace creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.
In 2026, following a breast cancer diagnosis, Carla created Carla’s Tits – a collection of bird paintings using humour, art and nature to spark conversations about breast awareness. Alongside her Feathered Friends collection, the project reflects her belief in the power of creativity to inspire, connect and bring hope during challenging times.
Carla regularly exhibits across Suffolk and Norfolk and works from her garden studio near Woodbridge.
