Dot Ronaldson

A Wickham St Paul-based textile artist creates contemporary, realistic work through painting, collage, and intricate stitchwork—producing colourful, precise, and uplifting pieces.

Using hand-painted silk from Sudbury silk mills, the artist collages fabrics into layered compositions enriched with detailed hand embroidery, combining traditional and innovative techniques. Some works include free machine embroidery for added texture and movement.

The work features rich embellishment—intricate beadwork and delicate wirework—that adds depth and luminosity. A passion for experimentation ensures the work continually evolves.
