Emma Wren is a local Artist from Colchester. She graduated with a degree from Winchester school of Art and worked in the textile industry for over 20 years before returning to her first love of drawing and painting.
Emma works primarily in watercolours but not necessarily in a conventional way. Using the bleeding effects from the vivid rich pigments to her full advantage, she allows the paints to flood and flow, thus letting the paint do most of the work! Alongside delicate studies of wild meadow flowers, Emma is known for her bold, large scale floral paintings, charming woodland animals and quirky birds. For Emma, nature provides an endless palette of colours, so why look anywhere else for inspiration? Emma exhibits regularly in galleries throughout Essex and Suffolk, and her work can be found in private collections across the UK.
