Marie Coomber Ceramics

Marie is a self-taught ceramicist working in the Stour valley.

Working with speckled stoneware clay on the wheel, she creates pieces that combine exposed clay textures with smooth glazes and polished surfaces.

Her work features angular forms and colors inspired by nature from the Stour valley, South West France, and Germany – from bright Charentaise skies to spring greens and coastal hues.

Marie designs functional ceramics that enhance daily rituals, with each piece uniquely crafted. Her mugs especially showcase this philosophy, with subtle variations that allow users to find their perfect match.
