Gallery & Exhibition submission: Calling All Artists & Makers
Wonky Wheel is currently seeking artists and makers for our 2026 and 2027 gallery space. We welcome applications from gallery-ready artists and makers based in Essex, Suffolk, and Cambridge, including emerging artists and recent graduates.
Quality First, Always
Here at Wonky Wheel Gallery, quality comes first. We carefully curate our store and makers’ market to champion authentic artists and makers exclusively. Each exhibition or event we celebrates the creativity, skills, and dedication of people who actually make what they’re selling—not mass-produced items labelled “handmade.” There’s a place for that kind of product, but not here at Wonky Wheel Gallery and Makers’ Market.
Join Our Creative Adventure
We invite you to become part of our creative community. For customers, we look forward to welcoming you to our gallery and events where you can celebrate the pure, authentic handmade products we exhibit.
How to Apply
To submit your application, you’ll need to provide four key pieces of information:
- Artist’s Bio: A brief professional biography highlighting your artistic journey
- Description of your work: A clear description of your work, artistic vision, and creative process
- Artist’s Profile: A high-quality image of you, the artist behind your brand
- Product images: High-quality images of your work, labeled with title, medium, and dimensions
If Your Application Is Successful
We’ll invite you to book an Artist Meeting with Mary. During this meeting, we’ll discuss your application in detail, walk you through our terms and conditions, ask questions about your work, and explain how we collaborate with artists.
Our Approach
We put people at the centre of everything we do. We’re committed to being honest, transparent, and making conscious choices aligned with Wonky Wheel’s values and mission. We ask questions, check processes, and build genuine partnerships with the artists and makers we represent.
If you’re happy to proceed after the meeting, we’ll arrange to visit your studio to see your work in person. By this point, we will have selected which pieces we’d like to display in the gallery.
Planning Ahead for 2026
We’re already scheduling gallery space for each quarter of 2026, with our first focus on Valentine’s Day, Mothering Sunday, and Easter. Rob and I look forward to receiving your application form.
